The Pentheros (Athlonian: πενθερός, "father-in-law"; plural: πενθεροί, pentheroi) is the supreme head of the Dozan Bovic Church. The title originated during the Natopian Dark Age (1533–1536) when followers in Athlon referred to Nathan Waffel-Paine as their spiritual father-in-law.
The Pentheros resides at the Pentheral Basilica of Saint Bessie in Doza, the Mother Church of the Dozan Bovic Church, and serves ex officio as the ruler of the demesne of Athlon.
