Sultan Salah Ad-Din I

• 01: Establishment of the Islamic People's Party
• 15: Establishment of the Secular Alliance
• 26: The Provisional Government promulgates the constitution and formally asks Saladin, the current President of New Batavia to become the nation's Sultan.
• 27: Saladin accepted the throne of Kurum Ash-Sharqia. He will become known as Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni.
• 29: General elections: the Islamic People's Party gains an absolute majority in Al-Majlis Al-Watani.
• 30: The Sultan appoints Faisal Van Looveren to be the nation's first Grand Vizier.

1701 AN

• 13: Sultan Salah Ad-Din marries Batavian princess Elisabeth Asara des Vinandy.

1702 AN

• 08: Promulgation of the Royal House Act 1702.
• 09: Birth of prince Saif Ad-Din ibn Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni.
• 10: The establishment of the Order of As-Saif is announced by the Sultan, celebrating the birth of his son Saif Ad-Din.
• 17: First awards ceremony in the Order of As-Saif: awards given to the Princess Consort and to Faisal Van Looveren.
• 19: Kurum Ash-Sharqia signs a treaty with Hurmu.

• 06: Birth of prince Noor Ad-Din ibn Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni.
• 09: New Batavia and Kurum Ash-Sharqia sign an extensive free trade agreement in Patriottenbaai. President Mehmet Arslan was presented the Grand Cordon of the Order of As-Saif for this occasion.
• 13: Sanama and Kurum Ash-Sharqia sign a friendship treaty.
• 17: Kurum Ash-Sharqia joins the MTO.
• 24: Kurum Ash-Sharqia imposes sanctions on Barikalus after the murder of the Emir and Emira.

Grand Vizier Faisal Van Looveren

• 09: Kurum Ash-Sharqia receives the Fnord Award for Best New Country for "being the best new country that is not a resurrection – with an interesting and well-developed backstory and an active presence in the diplomatic world".
• 10: Birth of princess Ihsane bint Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni.
• 22: General election: the IPP gains 5 seats and strengthens its absolute majority.
• 23: Re-appointment of Faisal Van Looveren to the office of Grand Vizier.
• 31: 5th anniversary of Kurum Ash-Sharqia's independence. Former New Batavian Grand Vizier Redouan van Lucerne was awarded the title of Officer in the Order of As-Saif for his part in the peaceful transition towards independence.

• 28: Businessman and founder of FAKUR Kamal Blankvelder was offered the title of Knight of the Order of As-Saif for his contribution to sports.

1706 AN

• 05: The Sultanate joined the MTO Court and MIPPA, thereby fulfilling an important condition of the free trade agreement with New Batavia.
• 24: Birth of princess Imane bint Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni

1707 AN

• 05: The Barikalus sanctions were lifted.

1708 AN

• 01: Establishment of the Ulema Party, advocating an Islamic theocracy
• 05: Birth of prince Imad Ad-Din ibn Salah Ad-Din Al-Lusirni
• 07: Faisal Van Looveren announces that he will no longer run for the office of Grand Vizier. Kawthar Saleh was appointed as new party leader of the IPP.
• 27: The IPP retains its majority in the general elections. The new radical Ulema Party wins its first 2 seats.
• 29: The Sultan appointed Kawthar Saleh to the office of Grand Vizier.

• 06: Establishment of the Socialist Platform

• 11: Nasir de Vries was awarded the title of Officer in the Order of As-Saif. De Vries is considered the father of Kurum Ash-Sharqian social security.

1711 AN

• 02: Beyza Maes, founder of the Royal Theater of Vrijplaats, was awarded the title of Dame in the Order of As-Saif.

1712 AN

• 15: The Socialist Platform won 9 seats in the 1712 Kurum Ash-Sharqia general election. The Islamic People's Party barely held its absolute majority.
• 16: Kawthar Saleh is re-appointed to the office of Grand Vizier.
• 23: The Treaty between Çakaristan and Kurum Ash-Sharqia was signed in Agra.

1713 AN

• 23: Kurum Ash-Sharqia joins the Convention on Civil Aviation

1714 AN

• 26: 4 members of Al-Majlis Al-Watani left the Islamic People's Party to join the Socialist Platform. Kawthar Saleh's cabinet lost its majority.
• 28: The Sultan dissolved Al-Majlis Al-Watani, following the fall of the cabinet.

1715 AN

• 04: The IPP lost heavily in the 1715 Kurum Ash-Sharqia general election, but remained the largest party.
• 12: Mohamed Van de Vijver becomes Grand Vizier in an anti-IPP coalition.

1716 AN

Grand Vizier Mohamed Van de Vijver

• 05: Grand Vizier Mohamed Van de Vijver (Secular Alliance) declared his intention to go ahead with constitutional reform and remove religious references from the constitution, in spite of their coalition partner's reluctance.
• 06: The Socialist Platform calls for a vote of no confidence against Grand Vizier Mohamed Van de Vijver.
• 08: Grand Vizier Mohamed Van de Vijver loses a vote of confidence in Al-Majlis Al-Watani. The Socialist Platform withdrew its support for the Secular Alliance led coalition due to that party's proposed constitutional reform.
• 10: The Sultan dissolved Al-Majlis Al-Watani, following the fall of the cabinet.
• 20: The Sec.A. lost heavily in the 1716 Kurum Ash-Sharqia general election.
• 23: Naoufal Molenaar of the Islamic People's Party becomes Grand Vizier.

1717 AN

• 25: Calbion and Kurum Ash-Sharqia sign a treaty of recognition and peace.

1718 AN

• 27: Appointment of Crown Prince Saif Ad-Din

1719 AN

• 22: Mohammed-Amine Maes unsuccesfully challenged Anas Gamal as leader of the Ulema Party, advocating an even more radical stance.
• 30: On the 20th anniversary the secession, Anas Khatib and Zayd de Smid were awarded the title of Officer of the Order of As-Saif.

1720 AN

Crown Prince Saif Ad-Din

• 09: At his 18th birthday, crown prince Saif Ad-Din was award the Grand Cordon in the Order of As-Saif.
• 19: At the general election, the coalition government gains enough seats to continue governing.
• 21: The Sultan re-appoints Naoufal Molenaar as Grand Vizier.
• 29: Kurum Ash-Sharqia and Vales sign a friendship treaty.

1721 AN

• 04: Establishment of the Vrijplaats Herald.
• 05: The opposition demands an urgent meeting of Al-Majlis Al-Watani to question the Grand Vizier about the Crown Prince's attempt to ask for favors for his family.
• 08: Naoufal Molenaar steps down as Grand Vizier after controversy on the Nobility Bill. He is succeeded by Hayat Markenburger.
• 19: Former Grand Viziers Kawthar Saleh and Mohamed Van de Vijver were awarded the title of Grand Officer in the Order of As-Saif.

1722 AN

• 04: The Sultan signs the Nobility Act 1722 into law, establishing Nobility of Kurum Ash-Sharqia.
• 09: Faisal Van Looveren was was ennobled and given the title of Sheikh of Oud Laar.
• 11: Nouvelle Alexandrie and Kurum Ash-Sharqia sign a treaty of friendship and cooperation.
• 12: Royal wedding: princess Ihsane marries Lord Zachariah Wythe al-Osman de la Gardie.

1723 AN

• 08: Royal wedding: Crown Prince Saif Ad-Din marries Anika Chloé Çakar.

1724 AN

• 09: The Sultan created two new sheikhs: Hazeema bint Muhammad Parveen and Mohamed Boerkens.
• 23: In the general election the All Corum Congress Party enters Al-Majlis Al-Watani.

• 15: After extremely difficult coalition talks, the ACCP agrees to support a minority cabinet. Hayat Markenburger remains Grand Vizier.

1726 AN

• 08: The Surveying and Expansion Commission starts exploring the Green to the West of Kurum Ash-Sharqia.
• 19: Birth of Yousra, the first child of Zakariyya de la Gardie of Ochterburg and princess Ihsane

• 01: Omar Khalaf was raised to the untitled nobility.
• 02: The Surveying and Expansion Commission received additional funds.
• 02: Naoufal Molenaar was awarded the title of Grand Officer in the Order of As-Saif.
• 05: Founding father Faisal Van Looveren passed away.
• 12: Establishment of the University of Vrijplaats.

1728 AN

• 02: The All Corum Congress Party founded a new chapter in New Batavia.
• 05: One year after the sheikh's death, a mausoleum has been erected to honor Faisal van Looveren's memory.
• 19: After the 1728 Kurum Ash-Sharqia general election, Hayat Markenburger remains Grand Vizier, leading a coalition of the Islamic People's Party and the All Corum Congress Party.

1729 AN

• 17: Leading scientists Latifa bint Hassan Kumar and Mohammad ibn Ayoub Sharif were awarded the title of Dame and Knight in the Order of As-Saif.

1730 AN

• 05: The Surveying and Expansion Commission submitted its report to the cabinet
• 31: Demise of Sultan Salah Ad-Din I, he was succeeded by his son Saif Ad-Din.

• 05: State visit of the Sultan to New Batavia, where he received the Badge of Honor.
• 07: Signing of a treaty with the Bani Batir.
• 08: Signing of a treaty with the Bani Laman.
• 10: Prince Imad Ad-Din marries Lady Anahuarque Yachay of Nouvelle Alexandrie.

• 01: Sultan Saif Ad-Din I consulted and informed the Crown Council on the appointment of his brother Noor Ad-Din as Crown Prince.

• 26: Hayat Markenburger was re-appointed to the office of Grand Vizier.
• 28: Princess Imane married Abu Thalhah ibn Ahmad Abdullah Inzun Shah, Prince of Kuala Forajasaki.

• 09: Foundation of the Royal High Council of Genealogy and Heraldry.
• 11: Rachid ibn Muhammad Qasim and Amani bint Kareem Zahraan were ennobled by the Sultan.

• 20: After a landslide victory Bilal Gharbi was appointed Grand Vizier. The IPP-ACCP coalition lost heavily in the general election.
