The South Corum Independence Party (SCIP, Onafhankelijkheidspartij van Zuid-Korum) was a political party in New Batavia. It was founded by Faisal Van Looveren on January 31, 2021.
Its program was a reaction against the leading Islamic Revolutionary Party and its views on the restoration of the Republic. It felt the needs of the settlers in Southern Corum, returning exiles, were being neglected by the Lucerne ruling elite.
After the 2021 New Batavian secession referendum the party was disbanded. Its main goal, independence for Anglophone governorates had been achieved. Since only two governorates voted for secession, this was perceived as a heavy defeat for the party.
Most New Batavian members joined the Islamic Revoltionary Party. Some remaining members founded the Liberal Party of New Batavia. In Kurum Ash-Sharqia the party was transformed into the Islamic People's Party.
