In 1721 AN, it became known that Molenaar had been approached by Crown Prince Saif Ad-Din. The Prince wished a noble title for the future children of his sisters and his future brothers-in-law. Under the current Royal House Act, they would have no titles or noble status. His sisters, Princess Ihsane and Princess Imane would soon reach maturity, hence his question.
When the Crown Prince's actions were revealed, both he and the Grand Vizier received a lot of criticism from the majority and the opposition. Most members of Al-Majlis Al-Watani said that the Crown Prince had overstepped the boundaries of constitutional monarchy, and that he should be reprimanded by the Grand Vizier in stead op being helped. Naoufal Molenaar took full responsibility and resigned on 1721-8, hoping to clear the Prince of all blame.
