Elisabeth Asara des Vinandy ('s Koningenwaarde, 1 XV 1674 AN) is Princess of Vinandy and Princess of Kurum Ash-Sharqia. She was the first Princess Consort of Kurum Ash-Sharqia from 1701 AN to 1730 AN.

Birth

Elisabeth Asara, a few days after her birth
Royal standard of the Princess of Austrasia

Elisabeth Asara is the oldest child of Arkadius Frederik Gustavus des Vinandy and Clara Sundara Waffel-Paine. Until 1685 AN she was crown princess of the Kingdom of Batavia and the Grand Duchy of Helderbourgh. To this end, she also had the title of Princess of Austrasia until that time.

Princess Elisabeth Asara was born in the Blanckenhof Palace in ‘s Koningenwaarde. Moments after birth, the king ordered the firing of salute shots. In Batavia, 101 salute shots were fired by the Ingelburgse Hunters every 10 seconds. The Amokolian Highlanders in Brandenburg and the Helderbourgh Armed Forces in Helderbourgh Stadt did the same. The national flag was hoisted on all government buildings in the three countries.

Shots were also fired away in Ravaria in honour of her birth. Two 62-gun salutes were fired simultaneously by the Fleur de Lys-Longships Guard in the Godsgroves of Tecklenburg Palace and Aakenie Hall. [1] Because Elisabeth is a great-great-granddaughter of Lady Æsileif Haraldsdóttir of the Houses of Vinandy de Ravarie and Ettlingar Freyu. In addition, birth gifts were also given to Elisabeth. [2]

Controversy

After her parents' divorce, the story emerged that she and her younger brothers had been taken by their mother. And that they would be actors so as not to embarrass their father. To this was added the story that they were not their father's children, but that their mother had committed adultery. All these stories have been dismissed by the Batavian authorities, after a DNA test was taken.

In 1703, it was confirmed that her biological mother was indeed a handmaiden, Catherine Bullen. When this news was revealed, the Grand Vizier of Kurum Ash-Sharqia issued a statement:

"The descent of Princess Elisabeth is not a domestic issue and has no political or monarchical consequences for Kurum Ash-Sharqia."

Marriage and issue

In 1701 AN she married Sultan Salah Ad-Din of Kurum Ash-Sharqia and became that nation's first Princess Consort and co-founder of the House of Al-Lusirni. In 1702 AN she received the title of Princess of Kurum Ash-Sharqia.

They had several children:
