Shireroth

Alalehzamin, officially the Emirate of Alalehzamin (Babki: امارت آلاله زمین), stands as a distinct and vibrant Imperial Dominion within the Imperial Republic of Shireroth. Established in the aftermath of the tumultuous Shiro-Benacian War and established as an emirate in 1760 AN.

Name

Alalehzamin's name derives from the Babkhi "land of the lotus flower", as the Blue and White Elwynn rivers are known for their special lotus flowers, coloured blue in the Blue Elwynn and white in the White Elwynn. The historic Babkhi-derived name of the area, Lesser Zjandaria, stems from the Babkhan province of most immigrants at that time (Greater Zjandaria). In 1546, in a decree by Duke Iskander Mirkdale, Lesser Zjandaria was severed into several counties, of which the County of Alalehzamin became the largest.

History

The history of Alalehzamin is a tapestry woven from rebellion, dynastic shifts, and the scars of war, stretching back to 1509 AN when it was first founded as the County of Lesser Zjandaria by Richard Lyon. Named after the province of origin for its earliest settlers, the region was initially a frontier outpost, but its strategic importance grew rapidly. In 1546 AN, a pivotal moment occurred when Duke Iskander Mirkdale issued a decree severing the area into smaller counties, elevating the County of Alalehzamin to prominence and officially renaming the territory from its former designation. This era marked the beginning of a complex political evolution, as the region became a battleground for various noble houses, including the House of Osman and the House of Ayreon-Kalirion.

The 17th and 18th centuries brought further turbulence. The region was integrated into the Benacian Union and later the Governorate of Alalehzamin within the Elluenuueq entity, seeing periods of autonomy as the Alalehzamini Autonomous Republic before the devastating Shiro-Benacian War (1733–1741 AN). This conflict left a permanent scar on the region; on November 23, 1733, a 350-kiloton nuclear warhead detonated over the densely populated Bailiwick of Babran near the capital, Ardashirshahr, causing catastrophic loss of life and infrastructure. Despite this, the region's resilience shone through. Following the war's end and the Treaty of Lorsdam in 1741 AN, Alalehzamin was absorbed into the Shireroth as an Imperial Domain. In 1758 AN, it was reorganized as a prefecture, and finally, in 1759 AN, it was elevated to an Emirate, cementing its status as a semi-autonomous powerhouse within the empire. Under the rule of the House of Alsalam, the Emirate has focused on reconstruction, cultural preservation, and economic integration, transforming from a war-torn province into one of Shireroth's most dynamic centers.
