Regent of Shireroth

From MicrasWiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

The Regent of the Imperial Republic performs the tasks of the Kaiser when the Kaiser is unable to do so, for reasons of absence, youth, health, or similar. Before 1653, the office was inherent in the Steward of the Imperial Republic, but after 1653, the Steward and Regent split.

The title was established in 1607 by Kaiser Aiomide but fell out of use after his death in 1608. Restored in 1653.

When the Imperial Advisory Council acts as Regent, it does so under the title Regent in Commission.
