Association football is a popular sport in New Batavia. There are currently two competing football federations that organize several competitions and cups:
- VBNB: Voetbalbond van Nieuw-Batavië (Football Association of New Batavia)
- NNVF: Nieuw-Bataafse Nationale Voetbalfederatie (New Batavian National Football Federation)
On December 11, 2020 the government recognized the VBNB to represent New Batavia in international competitions and tournaments. The very first match was played on December 28, 2020, in the NNVF Honor Division for women.
