Qurtuba (Arboric: قرطبة) is the capital of Taifa Maerifa, part of the Emirate of Barikalus, a princely state of the Çakar Empire. Between 1704 and 1708 AN, the city was part of Hurmu-occupied Barikalus, the territory of Al-Khadra and Qurtuba. Under the Dasil Agreement, the city returned to Barikalus control on 1.X.1708 AN. Since the annexation of Barikalus by Çakaristan, the city became the capital of the remaining part of the Taifa Maerifa.

The city is located on the gulf of the same name, the Gulf of Qurtuba, which is part of the Antican Sea.
