Bulqan, officially the Kingdom of Bulqan (Koriya: Царство Булкан), is a princely state of Çakaristan, located between Bulqan Ridge in the west and the Antican Sea in the east. It borders Hurmudan Northern Coria to the north, Pathaardesh to the west, Sikatadesh, Poorajangal and Micabad to the south.
History
The history of Bulqan began with the Kingdom of Coria, which was founded in 1648 AN. Grandbay, formerly known as Passerina and now called Bhavybai, was the capital of that kingdom. The Kingdom of Coria existed as an independent nation for 13 Norton years before merging with Krasnarus to form the Kingdom of Krasnocoria. It existed as a federal subject for 26 Norton years.
In 1694 AN, Bulqan became part of Cakaristan and was incorporated as a princely state. During the same period, Hurmu expanded into former Coria. So the northern border, or inner Corian border, was agreed upon with Hurmu after diplomatic negotiations. Kazimir Ranković, a loyal friend of Hasan Çakar, was appointed raja, later stylized to king. During the 1719–1720 Hurmu civil conflict, Bulqan had to deal with refugees from Rekozemlje (now Northern Coria). The largest refugee camp was set up near Baçaim. Many Koriya supported the State of Coria, and there were fears that the spirit of independence would also take root in Bulqan. Meanwhile, Agra and Bhavybai supported the Senate of the Lakes. The State of Coria was so short-lived that it did not pose a real threat, but there are small groups that continue to pursue independence.
