The 1753 Çakaristan elections were the thirteenth Congressional elections since the restoration of the Çakar Empire. These are the first elections since the amendment to Article 5.4 of the Akbar Constitution was adopted. This amendment limits the number of seats in the Majlis al-Nuwaab to 5,000. Each state is allocated at least one seat. Together, these changes have altered the way in which seats are allocated to each constituency.

For the first time in decades, three new parties are standing in the elections for the Majlis al-Nuwaab. In previous elections, the trend had been for fewer and fewer parties to stand, or for parties to fail to win any seats. The new parties are: the Nazarene Democratic Party, the New Catologian Party and the Technocrat Party.

Majlis al-Shuyukh

One third of the Majlis al-Shuyukh is elected every two Norton years. The term of a Shuyukh is six Norton years. A brief overview of the distribution of seats by party:
