The Majlis-ash-Shoera, formerly Majlis-al-Shoera, is the parliament of the Islamic Republic of New Batavia. It is elected every 4 months.
There are 100 seats, proportionally distributed among parties. Its sessions are presided over by the President. Before a law is passed, it needs the advice of the Islamic Diwan, although this advice is non-binding.
The Majlis-ash-Shoera was established by the constitution of the Third Republic. It was the successor of the States-General and the National Assembly.
