The city surrounds the Burj al-Saaeat al-Sultanii, which is built on the intersection of the Prime Meridian and latitude of Agra. The city flooded in 1728 AN during the Khordad Floods, but has recovered. The city is home to the headquarters of the Monalan Military District.
