The Wedding of Alexander Ayreon-Kalirion, Prince of Shahzamin, and Eva von Hutten took take place on III.1734, in the great Cathedral of the Patriarchal Orthodox Church of the Faith in Hyblios, Shahzamin, Imperial State of Constancia.

Background

The future bride and groom are reported to have begun dating in 1721, having met in Chryse when Prince Alexander attended a special bespoke training programme, hosted by the Benacian Union Defence Force of the Benacian Union. A comprehensive background check was done by the State Protection Authority and permission granted by the parents before the relationship was made official.

News of the engagement was publicly announced by the Paparazzi Patrol, in a Special Exclusive, which was a definite scoop, catching many by surprise. Prior to the engagement, later confirmed to media, the Prince of Shahzamin had obtained a personal audience with his grandmother to get special permission to marry in accordance with Constancian law. Media reports correctly surmised that one of the reasons for the delay was the untimely martyrdom of the bride's father, Ulrich von Hutten in Mehrshahr on IV.1730.

Official news of the engagement was reported by Mesazon Kenneth Keith Stürmer to the Imperial Synkletos the next morning, which adopted a resolution of congratulations.

Weeks before the wedding, the Imperial Court announced to media that on the morning of the wedding, Prince Alexander would be promoted to Sarhang (Colonel), and would wear the appropriate insignia on his dress uniform. In an explainer to media, the Imperial Court also noted that Eva von Hutten would become Princess of Shahzamin and entitled to the style Her Serene and Eminent Imperial Highness. It was likewise explained that during the wedding reception, the Basilinna herself would invest the bride's mother, Clara Smalt, as Dame Grand Cross of the Order of the Royal and Imperial Blood, and the bride as Dame Commander. As the marriage would also make the bride a Constancian national, and by operation of law enlist her as a Sarbaz (Soldier), given her previous service in the Women's Auxiliary Service and training in Auxiliary Servicewomen's Academy and experience in the ESB Foundation, the Imperial Court likewise announced to the media that it pleased Her Imperial Majesty to commission her future granddaughter-in-law to the rank of Tagmatarchis (Major) in the Imperial Constancian Army on the morning of her wedding day, assigned to the military household of her mother-in-law, Princess Rosamund, and tasked to formulate programs, plans, and policies on heritage culture protection and preservation in times of conflict.

Talk in government and coffeeshops was rife on Prince Alexander being appointed Imperial Constancian Ambassador to the Benacian Union, although there were discussions as well that Prince Alexander, if taking an assignment, might best be stationed in Chryse or in his grandmother's domains in the Viscounty of Lumenetra or the Principality of Arboria.
