Al-Akhdar (The Green) is a governorate of the Islamic Republic of New Batavia. It was established as a governorate after the 2021 expansion. It's the governorate with the largest surface area, but with relative low population levels. It was named after the Marches on Broekszaal from The Green in Southern Corum. The participants demanded expansion and citizenship rights. These demands were met on 2021-06-09. Shortly after that the new territory was organized into several newly established governorates.
The governorate's economy consists mainly of agriculture, livestock and forestry.
