The same day, the proposal for nominating [[Shen Suyi]] as Steward was laid before the two lower Raads. The Folksraad approved the motion with 667 votes in favour and 271 votes against, and eighteen abstentions (from the Ultra-Royalists of Batavia and from the Conservative Party of Talenore). The Adelsraad also approved it, with 104 votes in favour, 42 votes against, and 1 abstention. The Landsraad then approved the election by acclamation. On 20.IX.1741, the Kaiser [[Imperial_Decrees_(Shireroth)/Appointment of Shen Suyi to Steward|formally appointed]] [[Shen Suyi]] to the position.

The same day, the proposal for nominating Shen Suyi as Steward was laid before the two lower Raads. The Folksraad approved the motion with 667 votes in favour and 271 votes against, and eighteen abstentions (from the Ultra-Royalists of Batavia and from the Conservative Party of Talenore). The Adelsraad also approved it, with 104 votes in favour, 42 votes against, and 1 abstention. The Landsraad then approved the election by acclamation. On 20.IX.1741, the Kaiser formally appointed Shen Suyi to the position.
