Lord Tobias Menelik Wythe (1640-1734) was a Shirerithian–Verionian nobleman, businessman and politician for the Vanguard for National Reawakening. After the Kalirion Fracture, he sided with the Verionians, eventually becoming Duke of Zolt and Minister for the Exterior of Verionist Benacia. In 1675, following the Great Disaster, he – along with many nobles of Verionist Benacia swore their allegiance to the Kaiseress and returned to Shireroth.
In 1715, he joined the Mango-Strengthening Movement, and was elected to the Adelsraad for Shirekeep as one of three MSM representatives there. In the Adelsraad, Wythe represented the Verionist wing of the MSM. In 1722, he became the chairman of the independently participating Vanguard for National Awakening, a Verionist political movement.
He is a member of the House of Wythe in his direct patrilineal descent. He is also strikingly of an evident Atteran and Kumaranchi ancestry, a detail which has been used to call his kinship with the Line of Wythe into question by his opponents in the Adelsraad, where he is often taunted with shouts of "Dromosker!" and "Ras Diga returns!", from the opposition benches on the occasion that he rises to speak. Wythe never let this racist insults, which largely came from the Imperial Humanist side of the council, get to him and throughtout his tenure as member of the Adelsraad, he showed himself a capable leader of the Verionist faction.
Wythe passed away in 1734, at the respectable age of 96.
