The 1751 Natopian census was a demographic survey conducted by the Imperial Chancellery of Natopia's Ministry of Information through its Department of the Census. The census recorded a total population of 1,034,666,394 for the Bovic Empire of the Natopian Nation, reflecting a 0.63% increase from the previous census in 1747 AN.

The improved growth rate compared to the 1747 AN census reflected the stabilization of governance under the Union Democratic MovementNationalist & Humanist Party coalition and early effects of the Natopian Defense Review 1749 and investments in the Alexandrium sector. The census was the last conducted before the constitutional referendum that established a bicameral Frenzy.

Background

The period between the 1747 AN and 1751 AN censuses marked a gradual recovery from the political and economic turbulence of the mid-1740s. The Union Democratic MovementNationalist & Humanist Party coalition government, led by Chancellor Isabella Betancourt, pursued policies of economic stabilization and renewed engagement with Raspur Pact allies.

The Fourth Euran War and subsequent Occupation of Oportia demonstrated Natopia's continued role in regional security, while the Natopian Defense Review 1749 initiated a comprehensive rearmament programme. Investments in Alexandrium technology, imported from Constancia, Nouvelle Alexandrie, and Oportia, stimulated growth in science, aerospace, naval, and energy sectors.

Concurrently, the government pursued constitutional reform following the political instability of 1742 AN1745 AN. A Constitutional Convention convened in I.1749 AN to debate the creation of a bicameral legislature. The Frenzy approved draft amendments in XI.1749 AN, scheduling a referendum for IV.1751 AN, one month after the census was completed. The census was thus conducted during a period of constitutional anticipation, with the referendum ultimately approving the reforms and the Upper Frenzy by 69%.
