Tōyō'iwato (Sangunese: 東洋磐門?, pronounced [ˈto̞ːjo̞ːˈiwato]), officially the Territory and State of Tōyō'iwato (Sangunese: 東洋磐門道と州, translit.: Tōyō'iwato-dō to shū?, Phineaner: Wilayah dan Negeri Tōyō'iwato), is a Phinbellan territory and state located in the southern Phinbellan Euran State, on the Bay of Tumpat. It has an area of 6.82 square kilometres (2.5 sq mi) and is bordered to the north by the village of Pasir Pekan in Shandānø'kaí, and is also approximately six kilometres (three miles) from the inter-Phineonesian border to Kugelblitz and 28 kilometres (17 mi) from the city of Kugelblitz. Its landscape is dominated by the Rock of Tōyō'iwato, at the foot of which is a densely populated urban area. Tōyō'iwato is home to around 43,700 people, mainly Tōyō'iwatoans, which is native residents of this territory or sometimes a mixed Eurphineonesian ethnicity of several local ethnicities and Westerner ethnicities with called "Ōbeikei". A large number of immigrants from the former Los Bay Petros such as the Buginese and Torajanese, Timorese, from the remote islands of Phineonesia proper such as the Tausug and Visayans, from Forajasaki such as the Barbarites as well as Sumeru Apollonian immigrants such as the Çakaristani and Arbors can be found in this area. Tōyō'iwato has no de jure capital but the largest settlement is in the Reclamation Area. It is also a tourist destination for people travelling through the Phinbellan Euran States, nearby Kugelblitzer people, and scuba divers.
Tōyō'iwato was first settled by waves of Phineaner migration from Phineonesia proper in the 17th century. In -194BP, the Barinean and Shintarian concessionaires leased the peninsula and used it as a trading post, paying annual rent to the local chieftain. However, in -108BP, the Sultanate of Barine acquired colonial rights over Tōyō'iwato with the Treaty of Sikamat. It became an important base for the Barinean navy, especially against pirate attacks in the surrounding seas. Since -41BP, Tōyō'iwato was under Forajasakian control after the Sultanate of Barine joined the Federation of Forajasaki as a state, until on September 30, -10BP, Tōyō'iwato gained self-governance from Barine through a referendum. In the RP 2600s to RP 2610s, Tōyō'iwato and the surrounding region changed hands frequently until in 1729 AN, the territory along with other states in the Phinbellan Euran States region (excluding Desaremix) were merged into Phinbella through the Eastern Eura Act. Nevertheless, Tōyō'iwato maintains close economic and cultural links with their colonial influences, with many Tōyō'iwatoans speaking a local dialect known as Llanito.
Tōyō'iwato's economy relies on online gambling, financial services, tourism and ports. With one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world, a large part of the workforce is made up of border residents, Kugelblitzer or non-Tōyō'iwatoans, particularly in the private sector.
