Powers
Rules for succession
The Constitution of Normark states:
- The throne of Normark is vested in the most senior legitimate heir, under the rules of cognatic primogeniture, of the body of Johann Einhorn, the Grand King of Normark.
- A Princess or Prince entitled to succeed to the Crown of Normark may not marry without the consent of the King. Nor may she or he accept any other crown or government without the consent of the King. If she or he acts contrary to this rule, they and their descendants forfeit their right to the Throne of Normark.
This means that the rules of succession is male-preference, though female inheritance is possible.
Other legislation states:
- Under Norse law, princes and princesses are currently only the children of the present King, or children of a former king, and so on
- Children born outside wedlock are, if born in the 17th or 18th century, legitimized upon the application of both their parents, by the Order of the King.
