Jonsvik
Jonsvik ("Jon's bay"; also spelt Joonsvik, /ˈjuːnsˌviːk/) is a harbour, city, and bailiwick of the Governorate of the Winterglade in the Sovereign Confederation. It is located on the northern border of Asantelian, and is known for its strategic location and bustling economy.
Jonsvik has a long and rich history, with the city being chartered in 1605. Since then, the city has grown into a thriving hub for trade and commerce, with a range of industries including shipping, fishing, and finance.
In 1651, Jonsvik was ceded from Elwynn to Goldshire following the administrative changes in Shireroth as a result of the Auspicious Occasion.
In 1712, the population of Jonsvik had grown to 87,529. Despite its small size, the city and bailiwick are an important part of the Sovereign Confederation, and continue to play a key role in the region's economy and culture. Today, Jonsvik is known for its beautiful harbor and its vibrant mix of cultures and traditions.
