The 2025 FMF World Cup Final was the final association football match of the 2025 FMF World Cup, the 15th edition of FMF's competition for men's national football teams. The match is was played at the Colosseo Nazionale in Metta, Tellia, on 17 August 2025, and was won by Floria, claiming their second World Cup title after their 2021 triumph.

Background

The defending champions from the 2023 World Cup were Senya, who failed to defend their title after being knocked out by Sanama in the semi-finals at Romero. Sanama's route to the final saw them not only qualifying for their first ever FMF World Cup final, but also the first time they ever advanced from the play-off rounds since their debut in 2021, becoming the 14th team to qualify for an FMF World Cup final. During these four years, they went on to participate in 3 Benacia Cup campaigns and winning two titles in the process.

Floria, in stark contrast, have won the World Cup before in 2021 when they hosted the tournament. Since then, Floria were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Mercury during the 2023 edition and won one more Copa Apollonia title in 2024. Floria's second final appearance makes them the seventh nation to ever appear in an FMF World Cup final on more than one ocassion.

This will be the first time the two nations face each other at the FMF World Cup.

Venue

The final will be held at Colosseo Nazionale in Metta, located on the outskirts of the capital city of Romero. The stadium was intended to host the final as part of Tellia's World Cup bid, and was confirmed as the final venue on 24 December 2024. The stadium was also allocated to host five other matches, with four in the group stage and one quarter-final fixture.

The Colosseo Nazionale, which had not been finished building prior to Tellia's bid, is the largest stadium in the country with a capacity of 70,000 people.

PO Castilona 2–1
QF Vegno 5–5 (a.e.t.)

SF Senya 2–0 (a.e.t.)

Drawn in group C after failing to get past the play-off rounds for two editions straight, nobody expected Sanama to have a strong impression in the tournament. They kickstarted their campaign strongly by defeating Çakaristan 1-0 thanks to a late winner by Taki Walu. They then stunned everyone by beating, third ranked in the world, Mercury 3-2. Mushe Kanti's opener was cancelled by Addey Hanbury's long ranged effort. Arsenio Trevisani brought the lead back to Sanama in less than sixty seconds with a wonderful strike before Tanilo Tosha nodded in from a corner in the last few minutes of the game, although Joe Foxon reduced the deficit with the final kick of the game. Sanama then held Phinbella to a 2-2 draw with Trevisani scoring a brace, before ending their group stage by beating Daau 4-2 with goals from Mariolino Sonetti, Trevisani, Kanti, and Jean-Pierre Picardie as Sanama qualified for the play-off rounds.

In the play-off round, Sanama drew Castilona who finished third in group D. The Sanaman got off to a great start thanks to a very early goal by Trevisani who hit a superb volley into the top left corner. Castilona equalised four minutes before the first half ended thanks to a header by Jonathan Fiorentino as Trevisani won the game for his country with a header of his own. Facing Vegno in the quarter-finals, Sanama had their first real test of the campaign. They went down to Vegno in the early stages of the game due to a long ranged strike by Danilo Mannino but Mario Mezzore levelled the score right before half time. Sanama conceded a further two goals after Anthony Boretto scored a brace in three minutes, but Picardie pulled one back before substitute Kwshikw Hachemiz scored a brace of his own to put his side on top. Boretto however, scored in the final minute of the regular 90 and sent the game to extra time, scoring his fourth in the 93rd minute. However, Amane Wilamu equalised in the 103rd minute as the game went to penalties. In an ironic turn of events, Wilamu missed his spot kick as captain John Hammonds denied Paolo Vassena and Michele Spanu from twelve yards as Mezzore scored the winning penalty as Sanama went to the semi-final. Facing against the defending champions, Sanama held Senya to a goalless draw until Hachemiz, who was given his first start in the tournament, scored a goal in each half of extra time to book Sanama's spot in the final for the very first time in their history.

3 New Batavia 1–0
4 Tiana 3–0
QF Craitland 1–1 (a.e.t.)

SF Phinbella 2–1

Floria were drawn in group B as one of the tournament's favourites. They got off to a good start with a 3-1 victory against Sanpantul with Sam Butcher notching a brace and a goal from Rhys Chase as Yanagida Nichiren scored a goal for Sanpantul. Floria continued their strong start with a 2-0 win against Mishalacia with goals coming from Chase and Kylian Saint-Pierre. Butcher scored off his own rebound against New Batavia to score his third goal in three games as his team went away with a 1-0 victory before ending it off strongly with a 3-0 win against Tiana thanks to Mason Russell, Stewart Florian, and Daniel Strugar.

Qualifying for the round of 16, Floria were up against four-time world champions Craitland. Mason Russell gave Floria the lead thanks to an astounding diving header from him but a composed touch and finish by Juan Pellegrino equalised the game for Craitland as the game eventually went into extra time. Both sides were able to defend well and force the game to penalties with every player slotting away their spot kicks except Asil Karganov whose penalty shook the crossbar. Floria had Phinbella to compete against in the semi-finals after the latter team displayed a strong showcase throughout the tournament. Despite this, Floria scored the opener through Butcher who timed his run well and met the cross and finished it for his fourth goal of the tournament. A minute before the break, Saint-Pierre's header came off the woodwork but Butcher was able to assist him for the second time of asking. Valèntich Flynn was able to pull one back for Phinbella, but Floria defended strongly until the end to book their spot for the second final in their history.
