Order of succession to the Kaisership

The Order of succession to the Kaisership is determined by the Imperial Charter of Shireroth and decrees made under it (currently only On the Order of Succession and the Imperial Family (1740) and Restoration of Validity (1722). It is also the order of succession to the Sardarship of Talenore.

As of 1750, there are 55 people eligible to inherit the Kaisership. Current heir-presumptive is Prince Sechigu, paternal uncle of Kaiser Ayreon VI.

Rules

A simplified version of the rules are as follows:

1. Only legitimate heirs of the body of Kaiseress Noor are allowed to succeed.
   1. This means that only children from marriages or concubinages approved by the Kaiser are allowed to succeed.
   2. But it also means that any person who has married without seeking or receiving the Kaiser's consent is also removed from the order of succession
2. Elder sons and daughters and their descendants have precedence over younger sons and daughters and their descendants
3. No discrimination based on gender
4. Legitimacy is ranked: the child from a marriage ranks higher than the child from concubinage. Children of courtesans may not succeed
5. The Kaiser may remove persons from the order of succession, acting as if they were dead (e.g. if Jeremy is removed from the order of succession, as if he were dead, his eldest child will take his place instead)
