1741 AN Phinbellan presidential election

The 1741 AN/RP 2621 Phinbellan presidential election (Phineaner: Pilihanraya Presiden Phinbella 2621/1741; Taesongean: 2621/1741년 핀벨라의 대통령 선거; RR: 2621/1741-nyeon Phinbella-ui Daetongnyeong Seon-geo) is scheduled to be held in Phinbella by 17.II to 24.II.1741 AN or 4 February RP 2621 to elect the next president of Phinbella. The presidential election was previously held on 5.XV to 12.XV.1740 AN or January 29, but because that date was the day the Phinbellan Taesongean community celebrated the Seollal festival, as well as the Sino-Keltian and Phinbellan Jingdaoese community celebrating their New Year festival, the election was postponed to a new date of February 4.
Hang Wilhelm Aloysius Frederiksen, Kim Cu and Turritopsis Dohrnii Andresen are the three candidates for the non-partisan position, and all are independents while Kim Cu has long since resigned from the political party he previously belonged to during his leadership of the Provisional Government era. The three have been granted Certificates of Eligibility (COE), and community certificates, to be able to contest the election, in accordance with the eligibility requirements.
On 6.III, Hang Wilhelm Aloysius Frederiksen won a majority of the vote at 70.86 percent of the vote and won by a record margin. He was the first directly elected candidate from Tanah Tōnán'hyôrï for the presidency. His competitors are former Provisional Government leader Kim Cu who received 20.33 percent of the votes and Turritopsis who received 8.81 percent of the votes. Hang Wilhelm will be appointed to replace Furkorn as the fourth Phinbellan president on 10.V.1741 AN or February 9.
Background
The President of Phinbella is the ceremonial head of state but is paid a term salary of ðƒ3.8 million, and is subject to periodic White Paper reviews. The incumbent President, Muhammad Furkorn Mat Jeen, held the position for two terms and won the presidential election in RP 2618, defeating four other candidates, and in August RP 2619, he won unopposed after no suitable candidate came forward to replace him. He is the president of the Phinbellan Aborigines of the Toromuan tribe. As he also currently holds the position of senator for Phineonesian faction in the Senate of the Lakes, he will consider his position after stepping down as the President.
