The fourth Civil Administration Legislative of the Phinbellan Maritime Territories representative campus election (Phineaner: Pilihanraya Kampus Majlis Perwakilan Perundangan Pentadbiran Sivil Wilayah Maritim Phinbella keempat) will be held in all three Phinbellan Maritime Territories in 4 December RP 2617. This campus election will elect eleven geographical constituency members and four at-large members in the Civil Administration Legislative.

Background

The Civil Administration Legislative Chamber ran for seven years without any elections being held during this period. The Governor of the Phinbellan Directly Administered Territories and Dependencies as well as the administrators of the Phinbellan Maritime Territories have agreed to dissolve this Chamber as it has exceeded the prescribed time limit. When the Chamber is dissolved, representative elections are expected to be held within 60 to 75 days after the dissolution of the House.

There were four members of the Civil Administration Legislative representing his constituency who had resigned and were replaced by new members, however, one of the four members had resigned five months before the House was dissolved. Regardless, the Phinbellan Maritime Territories did not hold by-elections even though the constituency had a vacancy.

The Civil Administration Legislative Chamber was dissolved on September 10, RP 2617, and held a representative election on 4 December.

Electoral system

New leaders and new civic associations

All organizations contesting elections and being in the Civil Administration Legislative are civic associations and not political organizations, this election and previous ones are like an election at a university. And all the associations contesting in these elections also have leadership elections or leadership contests. And there are also new associations formed to fight for the interests of the constituency.

Therefore, in this representative election, there will be several different civic society associations, having at least one member running, and there will also be independent candidates.

Manifestos

Various manifesto promises and campaigns were made and published by the associations. The manifesto for each association and its candidates was launched earlier, in late October to early November.

  • PWTPB has launched the election manifesto, Moh Bui Peluang Bersame Geng BoBoiBoy Untuk Rakyat 2617 on 24 October RP 2617.
