Mercury City, commonly referred to as City, is a Mercurian football club based in the city of Mercury, which competes in the Mercury Premier League.

History

In 2010, before the Four Nations was created, Mercury competed in the Mercury League and the Mercury FA Cup, defeating Bohemian Rhapsodies in the final of the cup to become national champions. Its home ground is Mercury's national stadium, the Freddie Mercury Memorial Arena, which was reopened in 2012 after being destroyed in a plane crash during a charity match.

On October 15th 2011, Mercury City lost 5-4 to Dynamo Deacon, a result which relegated them to the Second League for the 2012 season. Mercury City won the Second League, five points ahead of second placed Flash FC. They sealed their promotion back to the Premier League with five games to spare.
