Alexander Amirzadeh Augustin Ayreon-Kalirion de Waffel-Paine y Primo de Aguilar de Santiago-Santander (born 17.VIII.1701) is the son of Prince Utas of Shireroth and Princess Rosamund of Constancia. The taint of alleged bastardry would haunt him for his entire life, being the occasion for nothing less than a brief civil conflict in his native Constancia.

His parents applied for the Kaiseress's consent of a matrimonial union between them in 1701 upon Alexander's birth. The application was continuously stalled by the Imperial Court, and on 23.XI.1706, Utas and Rosamund married civilly in Vesüha, Hurmu. Alexander was thus, under Constancian and Order of the Holy Lakes law at least, legitimised. In Shireroth, the marriage was never given imperial approval, but it remains legal under the civil law. As such, Alexander is, despite his lineage from Kaiseress Noor not a prince of Shireroth, but "merely" a nobleman, as the son of two married noble parents. For purposes of succession to peerages and the throne, and so on, he is considered illegitimate by birth. He is properly titled "Lord" with the style "Admirable".

On his ninth birthday, 17.VIII.1710, he was raised to the Imperial Constancian dignity of Prince of Shahzamin.

Alexander endured a bitter childhood, endlessly tormented by the rumours that his true father had always been Lord Patrick Wythe, Abeiron Maniakes, or worse some ranker in the Imperial Guard who had caught his mother's roving eyes. The extent to which the state was known to routinely and comprehensively falsify crucial documents meant that even his tutors and guardians, at every stage of his privileged upbringing doubted, and sometimes even mocked under their breath, the repeated assurances given as regarded the boy's paternity. It was impossible for the child, by his fifteenth year, to be unaware of the mockery and derision directed towards him behind his back by those who bowed and scraped before him. And in his soul the first cankered kernel of an enduring hatred began to form.

Enlisted (by operation of law) in the Molivadian Home Guard on his 18th birthday (17.VIII.1719) as an ordinary Sarbaz (Soldier). Basic weapons qualified. (Further details to follow).

During 1721 AN, Alexander attended a special bespoke training programme, hosted by the Benacian Union Defence Force of the Benacian Union for the scions of members of the Humanist Vanguard and other scions of the leadership cadres of the Honourable Company and Raspur Pact. Participated in bandit hunting actions in the Governorate of Upper Lywall attached to the Corps of the Gentlemen-at-Cudgels, where he was privileged to witness the work of the Magisters-Carnifex at close hand.
