Although the countries of the Mondosphere maintain their own individual diplomatic arrangements, Mondo pursues an independent foreign policy in his own right.

Notoriously genial, Mondo tends to regard others as potential friends until proven otherwise, often with scant consideration for their cultural or ideological prejudices. Mondo similarly sees little problem in maintaining close links with inveterate rivals, generally considering their squabbles external to his interests.
