The 2022–23 Daau Super League (also known as the BSL Daau Super League due to sponsorship reasons) is the top professional league in Daau, since its major rebranding in 2019. The league started on the 27th of August 2022 and concluded on the night of 2nd of April 2023
Daau United are the defending champions, having won their ninth title last season with a 3 point lead over runners up Bintang Lukana. Daau City became the champions for the first time in its history, beating Bintang by a mere 2 point gap.
Format
The following key changes were made to the rules since the 2022 season:
- Each team is able to register up to 25 players in their squad, a reduction of 3 players as compared from 2020.
- Daau U23 can only register under-23 players and are entitled to 4 overaged players.
- Players shall be allocated jersey numbers 1 to 50. Jersey number become available for allocation to new members after a player ceased to play for a club.
- DSL clubs are now allowed to register a maximum of five foreign players with no age restrictions, of whom at least one shall be of the nationality of an AEFA Member Association. A maximum of four foreign players may be named or fielded in any one match.
- Aeland Krasno Natives may sign up to 22 Krasno players per season. They are also allowed to sign at a maximum 3 overaged Dauian players.
- All grounds remain the same from the 2021 season.
- Matabese players are counted as local players.
Teams
Eight teams compete in the league. 6 of which are from the previous season and the top 2 of the Daau Premier League. Seragaan United returns to the top flight with Seragaan Stadium still being their home and Daau U23 joins the league due to a number of free agent players due to clubs' withdrawing. Daas FC refused to participate in this year's edition due to financial problems.
