The football section of Seragaan FC (Abbreviation: SFC) sports club fields a range of teams at various age divisions in Daau leagues. Their senior football team currently competes in the Daau Super League.
History
The Football Section entered a senior team as a 3rd or 2nd division club when the league was founded. Seragaan FC was promoted to the Daau Pre-League for the first time in the 2007-08 season and was later relegated to the roblems. It returned to the top flight during the 2010-11 season due to financial problems. It returned to the top flight in the 2012-13 season and is currently still playing in the Super League. It has a total of 5 league titles, the 2nd most in the league.
The club would be caught in hot water after a report was posted out that the football section was in debt of an approx. amount of Cr 3m in player wages and transfer fees from the season prior and this season. Seragaan Football Club would need to find a quick solution to the current financial situation as the team was given a -6 points deduction in the league and a possible suspension of professional license. Adding on to the troubles off the field was the injury of main players such as Carl Wan and Jerson Ortega as both were out with long-term injuries. Seragaan FC finished at 11th place in the 2023–24 season, meaning the club had to play the Super League relegation playoffs which resulted in an aggregate 3-2 comeback loss to Catang Evergrande, signaling an end to the Seragaan FC Super League era as the club was relegated into the Daau Premier League. The club fell into financial troubles at the end of the season as Krasnovlac went into a nationwide collapse causing club owner Clovis Yio to lose all his funds due to financial troubles back home. The club's license was regained by SFC instead of operating as an individual entity seperate from the main multi-sport club. The football section partnered with the TEC Group to further youth development and financial support.
A high-flying 2024–25 season in the Premier League saw the Pirates gain promotion to the Daau Super League oncemore. The club would claim the Premier League championship title following a 2-1 comeback victory over Pasir Riz SC. Veteran Sulemana Rahman was voted as the Player's Player of The Season.
Nickname
The club is nicknamed the Lions as the club plays its games near the Lion Rock in the Seragaan West Stadium.
Rivalries
Capital Derby
Prior to the Dauian reduction, SFC and Seragaan United were the two original teams based in Seragaan and thus shared the Capital derby, where Seragaan United were usually favourites and their squad depth far outweighed SFC at the time. The derby reflected the social standing of both the West and North side of the capital. As Seragaan FC represented the western, more industrial side of the city, while Seragaan United reflected the more posh and polished northern ends of Seragaan. Games of the Capital Derby usually end in brawls and scuffles as both sides have cultivated a hatred for each other over the years.
The relegation of Seragaan FC in 2024 only worsened the Lions standing. On their return to the Daau Super League in 2025, the first derby meeting and ended in a Lions victory courtesy of a Nasrullah Simao own goal. Veteran goalkeeper Lam Zhi Zhang threw hands with Blades captain Nasrullah Simao during the post-match cooldown, leading to a brawl.
