The Sanaman Army (Third Republic) is the land warfare component of the Sanaman Armed Forces. Its main objective is to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Sanama, provide assistance to the population during natural disasters or otherwise, and to contribute to international peace and security.

The stated goal of the Sanaman government is to have an army with a strength of around 500,000 in total, with 410,000 in active service and 100,000 in the reserve. All Sanaman citizens are required to participate in 21–24 months of basic military training. A large share of conscripts are trained in the army.

Army General Staff

The overall command of the Army is conducted by the General Staff of the Army, reporting to and commanded by the Commanding General of the Army and via them to the Department of Defence. Overall civilian control of the Army flows through the Under-Secretary for the Army to the Secretary for Defence, and ultimately to the President as Commander-in-Chief. It follows a modified version of the Benacia Command organisational standard.
