History
The team was founded in late 2022 after Mataba, which had existed on Micras since earlier in the year, applied successfully for FMF membership.
Later in the year, Mataba co-founded the Dauian-Mataba Cup and competed in the inaugural edition, where they lost to Daau 4–1 on aggregate. The team was applauded for their efforts against a well-equipped Daau side
