[[image:Flagain.jpg|left|161px|The flag of the Audentior.]][[Audentior]] was originally founded on August 6 1999 under the name Apolyton as a project associated with the off-topic forum of Apolyton Civilization Site. Although it folded after a few weeks, it was resurrected in November 1999 as Audentior, under the leadership of [[Scott Alexander]] and Evan von Christoph. It prospered, drawing citizens from the Apolyton Civilization Site boards, and achieved a functional government and vibrant culture. Worldbuilding, is a hobby based on designing and simulating cities, countries, and entire worlds. In addition to geofiction and conworlding, it contains elements of role-playing, wargaming, and model government simulation.
