One team is promoted to the [[Gerenian League 2]], and another one is relegated to its corresponding [[Gerenian Provincial League|Provincial League]].
After the regular season, the winners of each Conference played the Season Final, with the winner being automatically promoted to the [[Gerenian League 2]], and the loser qualifying for a promotion-relegation play-off against the team finishing ninth in the League 2.


The teams finishing first in their divisions in the regular season are entered into a two-legged final for the chance of gaining the sole promotional spot. The winner is promoted to the [[Gerenian League 2|League 2]], while the loser qualify for a promotion-relegation play-off, to be played with the team finishing 7th in the League 2.
Relegation depended on the League 2 teams being relegated, since there must have always been six clubs in each Conference.


On the other hand, the teams finishing last in their divisions play a final, with the winner qualifying for another promotion-relegation play-off with the runner-up of the [[Gerenian Provincial Leagues]], and the loser being relegated to such level.

The Gerenian League 3 (Gerenian: Leran Gherenies 3es) was the third highest football league in Gerenia. It consisted on 12 teams, divided geographically into two Conferences (Northern and Southern, formerly Mayfield and New Adarma divisions).

Format
