The 1708 general election was held in Kurum Ash-Sharqia to elect the 3rd session of Al-Majlis Al-Watani. The election was held on the 27th day of 1708 AN. 100 seats in Al-Majlis Al-Watani were up for election.

The election was won by the Islamic People's Party. The IPP lost 4 seats, but was able to retain its absolute majority. Incumbent Grand Vizier Faisal Van Looveren was no longer a candidate. New IPP leader Kawthar Saleh was appointed to the office of Grand Vizier.

A new radical Islamic party, the Ulema Party won their first 2 seats in parliament. The party advocates an Islamic theocracy.
