The Badao Faction, or Badao, which literally means Way of the Hegemon, is a centre-right wing political party in Jingdao. Its member originally were part of the Kuominliantang, but after a call of the Hai Emperor to establish a truly patriotic party who sought to restore the Emperor's power, the Badao was established in 1649 AN. It was dissolved following the 1659 AN decree by the Chidao Emperor to abolish democracy in Jingdao, when most of its goals had been achieved. Even more so than the members of the Kuominliantang, members of the Badao were rewarded for their loyalty. Many members of the Imperial Household or high-ranking military leaders are former members of the Badao Faction.
