Subdivisions

The Shangu was a group of merchants in Jingdao who were represented in the Gong Suweiai. They rose to prominence under the Meiyo Emperor's reign, whom sought to expand the economy and increase trade after the devastating War of Lost Brothers. While a minor faction, and often looked down upon by the other traditional factions (Bureaucrats, Navy and Army) their power has slowly grown during the reign of the Chidao Emperor as a direct result of the economic reforms. Especially the first signs of a potential collapse of Shireroth under economical pressure, raised them and their program to prominence among the Court.

They are commonly known for advocating strong trade ties with a select group of nations, like the USSO member states.
