The History of the Federation (Alexandrian: L'Histoire de la Fédération; Martino: La Historia de la Federación), officially The History of the Federation: Proclamation, New Prosperity, and the New Century, is a comprehensive historical work by Pedro de Armadi, published in 1720 AN. The book documents the shared history of Nouvelle Alexandrie from the Committee for Alduro-Wechu Integration in 1685 AN through the death of King Manco Cápac I in 1718 AN.

Beyond its narrative history, Armadi integrated biographical material on figures such as Vicaquirao Alvarez, Alejandro Campos, and Julio Delgado, alongside socioeconomic data drawn from national censuses and statistical bureaus. Scholars regard the work as one of the most thorough treatments of New Alexandrian national and regional history, as well as an innovative contribution to historiography for its combination of modern analytical methods with accessible prose.

The book has influenced public education, where it serves as an important reference for national history curricula. It remains the most frequently cited work in historiographical research on Nouvelle Alexandrie.

Synopsis

Volume I: The Proclamation and unification of Alduria-Wechua

Volume I documents the events leading up to and immediately following the Proclamation of Punta Santiago. These include a brief history of the Wechua Spring, the 1685 Aldurian coup d'état, and the Committee for Alduro-Wechu Integration, as well as the aftermath of the Proclamation, including the incorporation of the regions of Santander and Valencia. It was published on 1.I.1720 AN and dedicated to Armadi's close friend and fellow historian Ricardo Palmara.

Volume II: The New Prosperity Plan

Volume II documents the events following the commencement of the New Prosperity Plan. These include a detailed overview of the Cárdenas Plan, the Pan-Keltian Highway, and the Pan-Euran Highway; the territorial expansion into Lyrica, New Luthoria, Isles of Caputia, and Islas de la Libertad; and the cultural programs Alpha (monuments), Charlie (national press and literature), Delta (expressive arts), and Echo (music and cinema). The volume ends in 1693 AN, when Alduria-Wechua was renamed Nouvelle Alexandrie and the first general elections were held. It was published on 1.IV.1720 AN and dedicated to Alejandro Campos, one of the founding statesmen of the Federation.

Volume III: The New Century

Volume III documents the period from the 1693 elections through the death of King Manco Cápac I in 1718 AN. The volume follows the development of the Cortes Federales from 1693 AN onward, covering the Presidencies of Augustus Strong, Gerhardt Eugen Seydlitz, Julio Delgado, and Felipe de Almagro.

Major events covered include Operation Paramount and the Third Euran War; the 1701 eruption of Mount Broadshaw; the Great Vanic Revolt; the 1707 AN governmental crisis; the Recession of 1709; the 1715-1716 eruption of Mount Broadshaw; Operation Purple Splendor; and the Condor One incident of 1718 AN. Unlike previous volumes, which organized chapters by event, Volume III uses era-based titles corresponding roughly to presidential tenures. It was published on 1.XII.1720 AN and dedicated to King Manco Cápac in memoriam.
