The Sanaman Union Navy is the naval component of the Sanaman Union Armed Services. The mission of the Sanaman Union Navy is to prepare the naval forces necessary for war, maintaining naval aviation, airlift for naval operations, and air weapons and air techniques needed for the activities of the Sanaman Union Navy, and to develop aircraft, weapons, ships, tactics, organisation and equipment for naval warfare and service. Furthermore the Sanaman Union Navy protects the territorial waters and marine interests of Sanama. In 1715 the Branch of Marines was renamed the Corps of Marines, and the Coastal Defence Force was reorganised into the Coastal Defence Corps and the fixed forts began to be decommissioned. The Coastal Defence Corps is a smaller mobile force, operating in the border area between the sea and land. The CDC can deploy and fire land-to-sea and sea-to-sea missiles, while also acting as an anti-mine force and to prevent enemy forces from landing on Sanaman soil.

Organisation

Overall direction of the Sanaman Union Navy in terms of training, development, staffing and administration is exercised by the Chief of Naval Operations, supported by the Admiralty. Command in regards to combat activities and deployment flow from the government, through the Chief of the Defence Staff, to the naval commands.
