Raudsepp (vote 2)
With the Senate having failed to sentence Raudsepp, the Senate returned to debating. Several options were considered. Roya al-Osman introduced a motion, which read: that Annika Raudsepp shall be committed to a whole-life term of incarceration on the island of Samhold, in the custody of the Hurmu Fyrð, with no opportunity for parole or rehabilitation, the effect being that Raudsepp would be considered un-rehabilitatable.
To consider anyone un-rehabilitatable without having tried to rehabilitate them, and given them a chance to make amends was against the Ayreonist–Traditionalist ideology. Though the option for rehabilitation for Raudsepp was voted down in the previous vote, the Ayreonist–Traditionalist camp attempted to find a compromise, in which she would be incarcerated for a period of ten years, after which reviews for rehabilitation and parole could be made annually. In the face of fierce humanist opposition to the proposal, the Ayreonist–Traditionalist camp decided to withdraw their motion to amend. Accordingly, the Chancellor put the original proposal (Roya al-Osman's) to a vote, without allowing more debate. This upset Mondo who had some questions about the proposal. In the end, voting on the motion occurred on 11.XV.1726
