The Modan Vanguard Division, originally raised as the 1662nd Modan Brigade is a Vanguard Division, raised from residents of Modan, Molivadia, descendants of the Modanese Migration.

At the 59th birthday of Daniyal ibn Daniyal Simrani-Kalirion in 1694, it was officially commissioned into the Imperial Constancian Army in a ceremony at New Drakorda, with select members as part of the Military Household of the Autokrator of Constancia in attendance. At that same ceremony, Shapur Vardan Sarkissian was commissioned into the Imperial Constancian Army as Taxiarchos (Brigadier).

Operationally and administratively, it is part of the 1st Vanguard Corps placed within the 506th (Molivadia) Army. The unit aspires to be trained and equipped to the standards of those formations of the Benacian Union Defence Force patterned on the Black Legions .

Selected in late 1719 to be the Constancian contribution to the Allied Mission in Eastern Apollonia, Hurmu & Lyrica for the 1720 Deployed Regiment in Huyenkula, with actual deployment taking place on XV.1719, at the peak of the 1719–1720 Hurmu civil conflict. Due to an administrative error, the entire brigade was deployed instead of only a regiment. Personnel begin arriving in the Lake District via Huyenkula International Airport and Kaupang International Airport with airfreight containers under the diplomatic seal of the Imperial State of Constancia.

As the senior Imperial Constancian Army officer present, Princess Rosamund, Secretary of State for the Bank, Mint and Press of Hurmu and also part of the Senate of the Lakes, who concurrently holds the rank of Sarlashkar (Major General) and commands the 1668th (Timūr al-Osman Taraghay) Brigade, 1634th ESB-Jörmungandr Division, 505th (Aqabah Province) Army, was given interim command of the brigade, and all Constancians remaining behind in Huyenkula, who have all been called to active duty in accordance with Autokratorial Decree and Imperial Constancian law, and attached to the brigade. Upon her return to Aqaba by the command of her mother the Basilinna, command of the Modan Brigade was given to the Deputy Chief of Mission and charge d'affaires at the Imperial Constancian Embassy, Huyenkula.

Raised as a result of the Hurmu conflict, the Martyr Jamshid-e Osman Combined (Raspur-Surenid) Infantry Regiment was attached to the brigade from 1719 AN to 1721 AN when it was detached to form a separate brigade.

By 1721 AN the status of the Modan Brigade as a Vanguard Division in its own right was recognised.
