Huyenkula International Airport is Hurmu's largest airport, located in the outskirts of Huyenkula (Vesüha).

It also operates an airship aerodrome, with scheduled airship cruises over the Lake District.

Known as Vesüha International Airport prior to 1710.

Security

In addition to being a civilian airport, the Huyenkula International Airport is also home to one of the major flying stations of the Hurmu Fyrð (formerly Hurmu Peace Corps) Air Department. The airport's Fyrð cantonment houses the 116th Command & Control Regiment, which exercises overall command of the Air Department, the 128th Aviation Base Regiment, and the 135th Basic Training Regiment. Flying units based at the airport include the 129th Air Policing Regiment, the 133rd Training Aviation Regiment, 134th Helicopter Training Regiment, 136th Glider Training Regiment, and the 137th Air Transport Regiment.

Four launchers for the Geneva 2 system complex, operated by the 73rd Anti-air Artillery Regiment are positioned at the international airport to provide an additional layer of anti-ballistic missile defence for Vesüha, the Lake District, and North Lyrica on behalf of the Allied Mission in Eastern Apollonia, Hurmu & Lyrica.

Airport security is administered by a County Inspector 2nd Class of the Hurmu Constabulary, supported by locally hired security personnel directly employed by the airport.


Garrison (1690-1700)

A Chosen Man of the Hurmu Constabulary was present at the airport to represent the interests of the state and to uphold the requirements of the law. The chosen man remained in post until an Inspector was appointed.

Vesüha International Airport served as the primary base location for the 135th Motorised Infantry Regiment, a contribution to the Allied Reconstruction Mission in Hurmu made by the Black Legions at the direction of Benacia Command of the Raspur Pact. For administrative purposes personnel belonging to the Black Legions were treated as being citizens of the Unified Governorates of Benacia. The airport also served as a base of operations for the 13th Army Aviation Detachment (8x UH-76 Dromosker) provided by the Sanaman Armed Forces as part of the Allied Reconstruction Mission in Hurmu.

Vesüha International Airport played regular host to a squadron of sixteen T-5/A-5 Tejón de Miel, along with its ground-crew and supporting personnel, as part of the air-policing mission conducted by the Federal Forces of Nouvelle Alexandrie in accordance with the treaty between Hurmu and Nouvelle Alexandrie.

ESB Aviation Group

Additionally, between 1703 and 1707, the ESB Aviation Group operated a mix of patrol aircraft and rotorcraft from Huyenkula International Airport on behalf of the Air Department of the HPC.
