History
Aurangabad Athletic Club was founded in 2022 as a community-oriented football organisation in Aurangabad. The club emerged from local sporting initiatives involving amateur footballers, industrial workers and residents of the city.
Aurangabad's industrial economy, including the presence of the Jaap Autos manufacturing facility, provided a distinctive social background for the development of local football. The founders sought to create a representative club that could compete beyond the regional level while maintaining strong connections with the local community.
During its early years, Aurangabad Athletic Club competed in local and regional football competitions. The club gradually developed a reputation for disciplined football, physical determination and a strong collective identity. Its development was supported by local businesses and community fundraising initiatives, while the club remained administratively independent. The creation of a youth academy helped attract promising footballers from Aurangabad and surrounding communities.
The expansion of professional football in Çakaristan provided new opportunities for clubs outside the original national championship. Aurangabad Athletic Club began upgrading its football operations, improving training facilities and recruiting players with experience in regional football. The club subsequently received a licence to participate in the expanded Çakari Super League.
In 2026, the Çakaristan Football Federation expanded the national top division from eight to 24 clubs. Aurangabad Athletic Club was included among the newly admitted teams. Its participation in the 2026–27 season marked the club's debut at the highest level of professional football in Çakaristan.
