ActivityCheck
The ActivityCheck is a resource designed to assess whether existing nations on Micras have sufficient activity to justify their claims. Updated monthly around the start of each calendar month, the Council can use this subjective guidance to proceed with the reduction or removal of a nation from the map.
Previous to the community's shift towards MicrasWiki, activity was determined by quantitative data from forum posts, using the ForumCheck, but nowadays it is based on more qualitative judgement of wiki edits. Established by Craitman as Administrator-General in mid-2020, the original ActivityCheck was maintained by him on one of his user subpages but it has since been transferred to this article following a period of being maintained by subsequent Administrators-General Joe and Barnaby on another user subpage.
Due to its subjective nature, the description of the rating is up to the person performing the check, which may now be undertaken by any current Council member. Prior to this, the check's tongue-in-cheek requirements were having to "please the Craitgod", and later "satisfy the Owl". The current ActivityCheck now warns that you will be reconquered by The Green if you have not shown enough activity. One further addition to the check is that of published rationales for insufficient ratings each month, allowing for a more transparent process for nations and an improved understanding of what may be required to return to an adequate level in future months.
