The 2012 EMU Championships, commonly referred to as EMU 2012, was the fourth tournament of the EMU Championships, and was held in Mercury between 13 August and 25 August 2012. The twelve competing national teams all qualified successfully to be involved. The tournament's matches were played in eight stadiums in five different cities around Mercury.

The tournament was won by Hamland, for their first ever title, who beat hosts Mercury in the final in Mercury.

Hosts

Mercury was chosen as the hosts of the tournament after submitting one of two applications. The FMF Executives agreed that the Mercurian bid was more suited for hosting than the other applicant's and it was announced that the host's national team would receive an automatic berth in the tournament, as well as the winners of the previous tournament.

Qualification

Qualification for the 2012 EMU Championships was decided by the EMUFA's groups in the 2012 FMF World Cup qualification rounds. Both the winners and runners-up from all five groups advanced to the tournament, as well as the third-placed team with the best record.
