Mikhail Ivanovich Maksimilianov-Shvinnskiy, Count of Schwinn, Viscount of Hope is a Shirerithian–Hurmu nobleman, politician and diplomat; Senator of the Lakes (since 1736); consul-general of Hurmu in Aqaba (1719–1736).

He is the grandson of Jaime Augusto Joaquin Primo de Aguilar, Catarina de Todos los Santos u-Kart, Evgeniya Sotnikova, Countess of Schwinn, and Eduard Davidovich Maksimilianov. Although descended from the later-Basileus Giakoumis, in accordance with the Petropolis Compact, not recognized as part of the Imperial House of Santiago-Santander and prohibited from acceeding to the Principality of Molivadia.

Married Ylva Karlsdottra Markaland (1698–1735) of Hurmu, with whom he has two children: Kamilla Maksimilianova-Shvinnskaya (1728– ) and Kashmail Maksimilianov-Shvinnskiy (1730– ). Ylva died in the sinking of the Biternion. Mikhail had planned to be on the ship but stayed home with the children, ensuring his and their survival.

Upon Ingrid Djupvik's resignation from the Senate, Mikhail, despite being in grief, accepted to take on the duties of Senator.

On 6.I.1736 AN, the Viscount of Hope was violently assaulted by unknown masked assailants in his Huyenkula studio apartment. After being severely beaten, including a severe laceration to the palm of his left hand, the Viscount was knocked out and dumped into the laundry cupboard by his attackers, who fled the scene as the members of his retinue, returning from a coffee break, entered the apartment.

A copy of the Union Covenant, signed with the Viscount's blood, was later recovered following a forensic examination of the crime scene by the Hurmu Constabulary.

On notice of this incident, Imperial Constancian Ambassador to Hurmu Princess Rosamund, by formal communication, advised him that were the worst ever to happen to him, in the absence of him designating a guardian, both his children would be declared Wards of the Imperial State, and placed under the guardianship of Prince Iñigo and his household, and reminding him whose blood his children carried. An offer for security from the State Protection Authority was likewise presented. Undercover security for the children by the State Protection Authority was likewise disclosed.
