Gerze (pronunciation ['gɛrθɛ]) is the capital and largest city in the Gerenian province of Sängeran, with a population of 147,000 as of 2017.
The white colour of the buildings on the banks of the Camoleo River earned Gerze the nickname of Pearl of the Camoleo.
History
Founded in mid-2012 as part of the Gerenian settlement in Apollonia, Gerze rapidly flourished as a trading hub. Timber and small amounts of gold and silver of the nearby lands are exported.
The expansion of the city included both the building of a shipyard, and the creation of the Model City of Mariaville on the Red River, 11 kilometres upstream the centre of Gerze, the National Sovereignty Square.
Geography
Gerze is located in the confluence of the Red River and the Camoleo River.
Gerze is the capital city of Sängeran Province, which borders Barzat and Clements to the north, West to the west, Adarma to the south, and unclaimed territory to the east.
