Taizun is a city in northeastern Gerenia, and it is the capital city of Barzat. Taizun is located on the shores of the Northern Sea.
Taizun was founded as Sper. Soon afterwards, a devastating fire destroyed most of the town, sparing only a few buildings. Then a new settlement was built in a near location, on the old farm "Tayfun" –which inspired the new name of the town–.
Taizun currently has a population of about 66,000.
Being a secondary port in Gerenia, maritime commerce is not a main activity. The most important industry in Taizun is tourism, which is in constant growth.
There is a railway line which connects Taizun with Ramez (and Port Elerat) to the west.
