Mergeazes is located on the western coast of Romes Bay, in north-eastern Gerenia. Mergeazes does not lie on a major river. The only significant river in the town is the Sarga (Gerenian: Silver [River]), which flows from the nearby Lake Elavala through the city into the sea.

The length of the coastline is 23 kilometres.
History
The aboriginals of the territory on which modern Mergeazes is located are the Musleki tribe, one of the eleven "original tribes" Gerenians are direct descendants of. The region has been part of many states before Gerenia acquired the entire Maremedres province in 2012. An elaborate system of fortifications had been erected, which is partly in ruins as of today.
Tourism
Tourism is Mergeazes' economic base. The main attractions are in the old town, while the Gerenian War Museum is located north of the city. The coastal zone is also worth visiting.
Sports
Mergeazes is home of football club Uzenaie Mergeaze'es (Mergeazean Youth), who play in the Gerenian League 1, and rugby union club Mergeazes Union, one of the founders of the Gerenian Rugby Championship.
