He had the distinct honor of having served in two different legislatures. Kerularios served as Imperial Senator in Constancia. He served as a member of the Federal Constituent Assembly of Alduria-Wechua and most recently served in the Cortes Federales and as Secretary of State of Nouvelle Alexandrie.
In 1691 AN, in the course of the run-up to the Fontainebleau Accords, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federation of Alduria and the Wechua Nation, with the mission to develop plans for the development of, at the very least, some form of protocol for common alignment on Euran matters of Euran nations. It was at this time that he legally changed his residential domicile to Fontainebleau, having purchased a small country villa nearby, in order to better focus on these matters.
He was invested as Grand Knight Commander of the Order of the Great Kingdom of Constancia in the 1692 New Year's Investiture.
In a press conference held days prior to his appointment as Secretary of State of the Federation of Nouvelle Alexandrie, he made several disclosures that made instant headlines: his formally filing a leave of absence from his numerous corporations, as well as from the ESB Group and the Imperial Senate of the Imperial State of Constancia, and his public confirmation that he was in a relationship with Katja Magda Thorgilsdottir. Rumours of children, both those borne by Katja, and later by surrogates, have abounded over the years but remained a matter of no official comment.
In 1721 AN, on the occasion of their fortieth birthdays, reporting restrictions were lifted in Constancia and Nouvelle Alexandrie concerning the fraternal twins born in 1681 AN to Katja Magda Thorgilsdottir from her long-standing relationship with Maximinus. Athanasia Katja Kerularios and José Emmanuel Thorgils Kerularios were revealed to be employees of the Honourable Company, assigned to the Keltian Directorate of Operations. On the occasion of their birthday, and the public confirmation of their service in the Honourable Company, both were rewarded with appointments as Residents for the ESB Group; assigned to the ESB East Bay Residency and Parap residency respectively.
